We’re excited to announce you that the next BESIX Group Engagement Survey will be launched on 8 June and will stay open for two weeks. Your participation is crucial to ensure that each and every employee’s voice is heard. Whether you work on site, at the office, in the Northern or Southern hemisphere, as an accountant, blue collar or site manager: you can be part of the dialog!

How You Benefit 

Three years ago, 2,500 amongst you participated in the Engagement Survey 2018. The feedback you provided helped us bring improvements in several domains, such as the #WeCare policies. The more you are to participate, the more accurate the results will be in reflecting the situation in the company, in your department,  helping us crafting adequate response to your daily needs. The Project

June 2021

During the coming weeks, we will be conducting a company-wide employee survey, in order to get a better understanding of employee morale, satisfaction, and engagement at BESIX Group.
Your opinions are important to us, and this survey is your chance to express them. The «BESIX Engagement Survey » aims to reveal a clear image of the elements that positively and/or negatively affect employees’ satisfaction and engagement.

The survey is being managed by an independent survey company, Mensura, our longstanding external prevention service provider in Belgium. This external company will host the survey on the Internet and collect your responses online. All responses will remain strictly anonymous. We will not be able to track individual responses back to you.
Please be thoughtful, honest, and candid when you complete the survey.
Once the data are in, we will share the results with the entire organization so you will see for yourself how we are performing. In the months that follow the survey, People department and management will communicate the results, meet with groups to discuss plans to improve our culture and performance, and to address any problem areas.
We would like to get 100% participation in order to ensure that each and every employee’s voice is heard. So please take the time to fill it in!

FAQ

What is the objective of this satisfaction and engagement survey ?

Every 3 years, BESIX leads an internal satisfaction survey – also known as BESIX Engagement Survey.  This survey enables us to measure your level of satisfaction and engagement.
Results of this survey will be used as the basis for setting priorities and initiatives for 2021-2022.

Who may take part in this satisfaction and engagement survey ?

All blue and white collars under contract within BESIX group, whether under fixed term or permanent contract.
Colleagues who have joined us in since 1 January 2021 will not be asked to participate yet.  They will take part in the next survey in 2024.

How can I participate ?

All employees will receive the survey by email.  In this email you will find a link that will lead you to the online survey.

All blue collars will receive the survey by post mail.  In this letter, you will find the link that will lead you to the online survey, as well as your own credentials to log in.

 

I haven’t received the invitation to take part in the survey. What should I do ?

If you started working with us before 31 December 2020 and you are neither consultant nor temporary staff, you should have been invited.  If this is not the case, please contact one of the following colleague who will be able to help you :

What is the target population ?

The target population consists of all staff members working with us since at least 31 December 2020.  Consultants and temporary staff are not taken into account.

Why should we participate ?

The results of the survey will show us what works well, what works not so well and what should be significantly improved.
Based on these findings, we will define priorities and initiatives aimed at improving the level of internal satisfaction and engagement in 2021-2022.

And of course, a high level of participation will ensure the results reflect reality on the ground and will allow the launch of initiatives in line with your needs. We therefore hope we can count on your participation.

 

Is this survey mandatory ?

No, it is not mandatory to take part in the survey, however the higher the participation rate, the more representative the results will be.  And this will lead to BESIX proposing solutions that best fit the wishes of all staff members.

Do I have to answer all questions ?

Yes, you should answer all questions.  This will ensure we have the best picture of the current state of all our entities and allow us to make action plans accordingly.

 

How is anonymity guaranteed ?

Mensura, the company in charge of the survey, guarantees anonymity :

  • BESIX will not have access to individual answers
  • Reports of team results will only be disclosed to BESIX when we have a minimum of 7 answers per team
  • Answers to the online survey will immediately be integrated in Mensura’s database, they will not transit through BESIX email network
  • All questionnaires will be discarded once handled
  • Mensura is legally entitled to comply with strict data protection

You can therefore reply to this questionnaire in confidence.

How can this survey be anonymous if I have to use a specific userid & password ?

You will receive a specific Userid and  password to access the online survey.  These codes will allow each staff member to reply to the survey once.  Codes will not be used to link results to a specific group of people.  This is guaranteed by Mensura.

What will happen if I have to interrupt and disconnect while completing the survey ? Will I have to start all over again ?

No.  You will find a “Save” button at the bottom of each page and will have to click on that button before moving on to each next page.  Answers are thereby automatically saved, all along the survey.  Should you have to stop the survey and connect again later on, you will find all your saved results when resuming the questionnaire.

How can I be sure BESIX will not receive individual results ?

The contract signed between BESIX and the research office clearly states that transfer of data is not allowed.  BESIX will only receive a final report with global results.

 

Who analyses the results ?

Results will be analyzed by the research office, Mensura.

How will I be informed of the results ?

Results of the survey will be published after summer.  They will be sent to you via our usual communication channels.   Your Line Manager will also discuss these results with you during a team meeting.

What will the results be used for ?

Results will be used to set priorities and initiatives aimed at improving the level of internal satisfaction and engagement within your entity and the group in 2021-2022.
